First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to Allah, the Almighty, for this wonderful distinction. I also want to express my gratitude to you all for your trust. Both a great honour and a huge responsibility come with it. I appreciate the hard work that my predecessors did to advance the Chamber and their contribution to drawing attention to the issues facing the business community everywhere.
I have taken on this role with a strong commitment to helping the business community and putting out my best efforts to find solutions to the major problems that face trade and industry. I would like to ask the HCCI members to keep bringing us proposals and ideas for bettering our services. Your support and suggestions would help us raise the bar for our operations and provide the Chamber with a more solid foundation.
We will be able to fulfil our function successfully with your help and the blessings of Allah, the Almighty. Apolitical, independent, membership-based, volunteer-driven, and not-for-profit, the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a clear mission to guide and support the business community in this land of potential.
As President, it is my first and foremost responsibility to serve the business community and the HCCI members in particular with missionary zeal, dedication, and commitment.
I will do everything in my power to make insightful and significant policy contributions through dynamic initiatives that would have a positive impact on Haripur’s social and economic landscape.
Businesses and organizations in our community, the District of Haripur, the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Pakistan as a whole are represented by the Chamber.
My Mission:
I will also try to act as a sponsor for the local business community and facilitate them by providing opportunities for them to promote their businesses locally and internationally in order to become the voice of the business community and to make a firm commitment to improving the quality of life and economic prosperity in Haripur.
My Goals are:
- To actively and rather proactively participate in the formulation of public policy because it has an impact on the country’s economic growth and development.
- To effectively convey the opinions of the business community at appropriate government levels and forums, particularly regarding issues pertaining to Haripur and this region.
- To encourage individual and collective accomplishments, business excellence, and private enterprise.
- To provide the resources deemed necessary to boost member involvement in the community through this chamber and to guarantee appropriate levels of member services.
- To strengthen the Organization by expanding its membership and resource pool Strategic Plans.
My commitment to continuously meet our members’ needs is enshrined in the Strategic Plan, which enshrines my commitment to providing excellent service and programs. The Chamber has a significant role and a significant responsibility because it is a member-based organization. While the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry serves as an advocate, connector, communicator, facilitator, and thought leader for many businesses, organizations, and individuals, it also serves as a community advocate and leader for key stakeholders. - The establishment of gas facilitation desks was inaugurated by Vice President FPCCI Aun Ali Syed, President Chamber Malik Umair Khalid, Vice President Abdul Basit. - Executive Member & Former Chief chairman of all standing committees Mr.Malik Hassan Tariq Official Visit to Makkah Chamber of Commerce & Industry As a representative of the Haripur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI), and had the privilege to visit the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and attend the exhibition organized by FPCCI. During the visit, also participated in several seminars hosted by the Makkah Chamber, exploring Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 business development plans and investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s growing business sectors. Additionally, meet with Mr. Mohamed Al Mahmoudy and other foreign delegates to discuss avenues for bilateral trade promotion and future collaboration between business communities.
- Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Former Chairman Religious Harmony Committee Nayyar Abbas Jafri organized a tea party in honor of the newly elected President of Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malik Umair Khalid, Vice President Abdul Basit and the former cabinet, in which chamber members participated. The speakers congratulated the newly elected young leadership on their success and expected them to take vigorous steps for the development and progress of Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the welfare of the members. The speakers appreciated the services of former cabinet former President Shahbaz Mahmood, former Vice President Malik Saeed Akhtar and paid tribute to them. - The Punjab government’s unconstitutional ban on the supply of wheat, flour and meal should be lifted immediately. The ban will lead to flour crisis, increase in prices, closure of businesses and increase in unemployment. The provincial government should make serious efforts to resolve this issue and sit with Punjab and the federation to resolve it permanently, while the Prime Minister of Pakistan should take immediate notice of this issue and play a role. These views were expressed by Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Malik Umair Khalid, Grocery Association President Haji Fakhar Alam Awan, Hazara Division Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Khurshid Azam Khan, Bakers Association President Jamil Tanoli, Rajab Abbasi, Hasrat Ali Shah, during a press conference at the Haripur Chamber of Commerce office.
- The Garden Gate, Haripur grand inauguration ceremony The chief guests of the ceremony were Mr. Malik Umair Khalid, President Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) and Mr. Abdul Basit, Vice President Haripur Chamber, whose presence gave special importance to the occasion. The distinguished guests included Mr. Malik Muhammad Nazir, Saqib Imran, Sheikh Zulfiqar Anwar, Basharat Nawaz Abbasi, Qazi Sohail Bin Saad, Aamir Shahzad Farooqi, Advocate Sadaqat, Malik Zahid and Head of the Department of Agriculture, University of Haripur, among other prominent personalities.
- Mr. Arham Ikram Sheikh, Senior Vice President of Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited Haripur Chamber after his foreign tour and officially assumed the charge of Senior Vice President.
- World White Cane Day – October 15 A ceremony was organized at Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the auspices of the Chairman Standing Committee for Civil Society Affairs, Mr. Qaiser Ali Warsi. Additional Commissioner for Relief Qamar Zia, President Haripur Chamber of Commerce Malik Umair Khalid, Vice President Mr. Abdul Basit, Executive Members of the Chamber, Madam Sana, Head of Social Welfare Department, District Haripur and other social dignitaries were present on the occasion.
- The executive body meeting of the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry demanded the immediate lifting of the provincial division between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the ban on the supply of flour and maida. The public and the business community are facing difficulties and problems due to the increase in prices due to the shortage of flour and maida in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the meeting, facilitation desks of various departments will be established for the convenience of the chamber members. The president of the chamber, along with the associate and corporate class executive body, is determined to take steps for the construction and development of the chamber and the welfare of the members. According to the details, the first meeting of the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held under the chairmanship of President Malik Umair Khalid. The meeting was attended by Vice President Abdul Basit, Executive Body Members Malik Saeed Akhtar, Malik Hassan Tariq, Tayyab Rajput, Inayatullah Shah, Qazi Yasir, Sheikh Zulfiqar Anwar, Mufti Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Usman Waheed, Sheikh Muhammad Ilyas, Chaudhry Yousuf Abid, Moeez Ahmed Javed, Sajid Mahboob. The meeting was extended to various departments. Establishment of a facilitation desk, online filing of SECP, online registration of all executives, current status of the chamber bank account, proposals for managing monthly expenses till the renewal year 2026, announcement by the President FPCCI of the provision of a solar system for the chamber office, establishment of a coordination committee in this regard, determination of rates for advertising on the chamber wall, approval for increasing the privileges and powers of the executive body members to strengthen and activate the chamber of commerce.
- A delegation from the Traders’ Protection Group visited the Haripur Chamber, which included Raja Hafeez, President of the Traders’ Protection Group, Dr. Chaudhry Aslam, Chamber Member Shuja Ahmed and other members. They congratulated the newly elected President Malik Umair Khalid and Vice President Abdul Basit and assured them of all possible cooperation from the Traders’ Protection Group.
- A delegation of Private Education Network Haripur arrived at the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry office. The newly elected President of the Chamber, Malik Umair Khalid, and Vice President Abdul Basit were congratulated on their success. On this occasion, Basharat Nawaz Abbasi, President, Private Education Network, General Secretary Khurshid Ahmed, Abdul Qayyum, Deputy General Secretary, Ghufran Khan, Vice President, M. Umar, Vice President, Maulana Niaz Muhammad, Vice President, Shahryar Khan, Vice President, Aftab Ahmed Khan, Finance Secretary, Saqib Imran and Zeeshan Zaman were also present. Both the officials thanked the PEN delegation.
- A delegation of office bearers and members of the Grocery Association and Chamber of Commerce met Deputy Commissioner Haripur Waseem Ahmed and DPO Haripur Farhan Khan separately and apprised them of the issues faced regarding the provincialization of flour. The Punjab government has imposed a ban on the entry of flour and maida into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, due to which the public and the business community are facing problems and difficulties. The delegation included President of the Grocery Association and former President of the Chamber, Haji Fakhar Alam Awan, President of the Chamber, Malik Umair Khalid, Vice President Abdul Basit and others.
- A grand ceremony was organized by the former President of the Chamber, Mr. Haji Fakhr Alam, at the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was held in honor of SP Princess Naushad Gilani and DSP City Mr. Saeed Jadoon. On this occasion, the Vice President of the Chamber, Mr. Abdul Basit, former Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Executive Members and esteemed members of the Chamber were present. The Traffic Incharge of Haripur, Mr. Tariq Aziz also specially attended the ceremony – This ceremony reflects the cordial relations between the administration and the business community-

Chairman of the Malik Group, Malik Muhammad Nazir and newly elected President, Malik Umair Khalid, thanked all the guests for their presence and reiterated their support for the Unity Group.
- Provincial President Central Muslim League Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mufti Arifullah Khattak, District President Central Muslim League Chaudhry Younus and General Secretary Central Muslim League Haripur Zafar Iqbal congratulated the newly elected President of Haripur Chamber Mr. Malik Umair Khalid.
- A delegation of Haripur Islamic Homeopathic Medical Association visited Haripur Chamber of Commerce and congratulated the newly elected President of Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malik Umair Khalid and Vice President Abdul Basit. Former President and SAARC member Syed Safdar Zaman Shah was also present on the occasion. The IHMA delegation included President Dr. Saqi Hussain and other office bearers and members. President of the Chamber Malik Umair Khalid and Vice President Abdul Basit thanked the delegation.
- President Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Malik Umair Khalid held a very positive and fruitful meeting with Assistant Collector KPRA Mr. Hizbullah Khan, Ms. Samia Khan and other representatives. In the meeting, issues related to registration and facilities of beauty parlors under KPRA were discussed in detail. Mr. Hizbullah Khan assured full cooperation and said that he would extend all possible cooperation to the business community to make this process easy and effective. Later, President Chamber Mr. Malik Umair Khalid presented the proposal of KPRA Facilitation desk. Hizbullah Khan welcomed this proposal and gave a statement of approval.
